The Village of Metamora is a municipal corporation governed by a President and Boardof Trustees, with the help of other officers and employees. The Village government adoptsand enforces local laws, builds and maintains localstreets, operates the village water andsewer system and generally administers village services.

To assist the mayor and trustees with their administrative and legislative duties, the mayor appoints, and the trustees confirm, the hiring of a Village Treasurer, Deputy Clerk, and other staff.

Learn more about IMRF at the link below.In accordance with Illinois law, any party initiating foreclosure on residential real estate within the Village of Metamora must send a copy of the foreclosure notice by first-class mail to the Village. Additionally, a notice of the foreclosure confirmation order must also be mailed to the Village once the foreclosure is finalized. These requirements help ensure the Village is informed about properties in foreclosure within its boundaries.
